Resources for children in Dubai / UAE

Resources for children

In this ever-busy world, finding a reliable resource for our children has been becoming more and more difficult. Not to mention the small voice in our heads, always trying to warn us about the ulterior motives of the information.
Let us help you and make your life a little easy. Here are some easy resources for parents to consider for their children’s needs. Our focus is only within UAE here. It includes local playgroups, libraries, government resources and YES, also amazing subscriptions like Green Giraffe (nudge! nudge! wink! wink!).

Local Resources

  • Green Giraffe – Subscription & Toy Library Dubai: Borrow boxes of toys and books designed to build social skills. Try a monthly subscription, explore plans & pricing, and browse our catalogue.
  • Local playgroups and community centres: Dubai Mums groups, nurseries in Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Al Barsha often host playdates — a great space for children to practice skills.
  • Libraries & public resources: Dubai Public Library membership (children under 12) is free. Ministry of Culture
  • For delivery of toy & book boxes, check your Green Giraffe delivery zone; many subscriptions include delivery in key Dubai areas.

This list is in no way exhaustive. We do not think its even possible to make such an exhaustive list, but we still want to try. Because much like parenthood, we are here with grand ambitions, trying to make the impossible a little more achievable.

Help us in our endeavour, you can leave a comment here with your suggestions for resources to add here. We will add your recommendations here and credit you for making the life of all UAE parents just a little easier.
